Pathways from Past to Present

Maple, glass

In 'Pathways', I give myself the freedom to play. I had found a piece of maple that had been ravaged by carpenter ants. I admired the ant's instinct to follow the soft summer grain of the wood, which gave the tracks a flowing movement. In response to the surface richness, I added glass casts of a Durian fruit that echoed the bug's mischief.
